Every project is reviewed and verified through STARK, so keep your work traceable from day one.
Document and prove your ideation process through Scholarxiv. Show how the idea was developed, what problem you identified, and how you arrived at the solution you decided to build. You are also free to build on top of Scholarxiv itself. The Scholarxiv MCP server and the Papers API are both fair game, and using them counts in your favour.

Every project must support voice interaction through Voxide, in Amharic, Oromiffa, English, or any other language your implementation supports. Show how voice becomes a meaningful part of the product experience.
For websites and web platforms, hosting on EthioDeploy is optional, but it will be considered a strong advantage when projects are judged.

Your project must start after the hackathon officially begins. Prove your work through your GitHub development history and STARK Changelogs showing what you built, changed, and improved throughout.
If your project requires local payment functionality, payments must be processed through Links.et.
Only if your project takes payments
To take part in the announcement event at ALX, participants should be members of ALX. This is not mandatory. Anyone interested in the hackathon can still register on the day of the announcement.
